Are you going through it?
Or are you growing through it?
I’ve been going through the thought of a future without you -
somehow it all still looks the same,
you’ve just been cropped out of the frame
and honestly…
it’s beginning to grow on me.
I’ve been going through the motions each day after day,
because the repetition of actions
help me hone in on my passions,
which have been…
growing through my every move.
I admit,
I was caught in a trip.
I fell off and lost grip,
and the static in my mind
it was nothing but a glitch
but you couldn’t see past the screens…
So you split,
you told me that was it.
didn’t care a bit,
just shoot a text and dip
save the .wav and .zip
we weren’t so well equipped,
well, not for shit like this.
we took a chance and slipped.
I’m creating new patterns.
patterns that push me
to be better than I was yesterday.
Yesterday is just a memory
that I stored in a backup hard drive
and shoved into a drawer.
My mind is sore from erasing you.
